Nari Kantho
The coastal region of Bangladesh is a real reflection of natural disasters, poverty and structural inequality. The people of this region, especially women and girls, have been victims of various injustices such as gender discrimination, domestic violence, caste-based discrimination, wage discrimination in labor and deprivation of inherited property for centuries.
While working in coastal areas for a long time, we have observed that the main reason for this inequality is the lack of skills and economic empowerment of women, as a result of which they are left behind in terms of opportunities to speak up, the right to express their opinions and decision-making.
The lives of many women and girls are wasted due to not being able to speak up, not knowing about their rights and social fear. This silence has made violence on the coast even more painful.
The organization is named "Nari Kantho" from this reality. We believe that development remains incomplete if women's voices are silenced. Therefore, the main philosophy of Nari Kantho is to make women's voices visible, strengthen them and awaken them on the path to achieving their rights.
Nari Kantho is a platform where women learn to speak with confidence; choose protest over silence. Through establishing Nari Kantho, we dream of building a just, inclusive society.

Is to establish a just and equal society, where people from all walks of life, especially disadvantaged women and girls, are empowered and access the rights, resources, and opportunities to live a dignified life.
Mission of Nari Kantho:
To empower marginalized communities to realize and exercise their rights. To promote and advocate for a just, equitable and inclusive society, especially for women and girls, through inclusive leadership, good governance and effective social protection.
